Your knowledge base, your customer conversations and your customer list belong to your business. ChatWun processes them only to answer your customers and run your account, never sells them, never uses them for advertising, and never uses them to train AI models.
Who we are
ChatWun is operated by Antares Byte LLC. When this page says "we", it means that company. It applies to the ChatWun website, the dashboard, and the assistant that answers on your channels.
What we collect
- Your account: the email address you sign in with (we send a code to it; there is no password), your name, and the businesses you create.
- Your business's knowledge: the price lists, answers, files and settings you add so the assistant can answer.
- Your customers' conversations: the messages customers send on the channels you connect (web chat, Telegram, Messenger, Viber), the assistant's replies, your staff's replies, and whatever the channel tells us about the sender, such as a name or a Telegram username.
- Payments: for kyat payments, the transfer screenshot you send and the amount and date; for card payments, only what Stripe returns to us (the last four digits, the amount, the date). We never see your card number.
- Usage: which pages of the dashboard are used and any errors, so we can fix what breaks.
What we use it for
- To answer your customers on your behalf, from your knowledge.
- To show you conversations, contacts and usage in the dashboard.
- To bill you for the plan you chose and to keep the allowance accurate.
- To help you when you ask us, and to tell you about changes to the service.
- Never to sell to anyone, never for advertising, and never to train an AI model — not ours and not anyone else's.
The AI
To write a reply, the customer's message and the relevant parts of your knowledge base are sent to an AI model provider (currently Google's Gemini models). The provider processes them under its business terms, which do not allow it to use your data to train its models. Answers come from your knowledge; the assistant hands anything it cannot answer to your staff.
Where it lives and who processes it
We use a small number of companies to run the service. Each processes data only on our instructions:
- Supabase — accounts, business settings, knowledge base and billing records.
- Our own message servers, hosted with Hetzner, for conversations and the staff inbox.
- Google Cloud — the service that reads your knowledge and drafts replies, in Singapore.
- Google — the Gemini models that generate replies.
- Vercel — hosting for this website and the dashboard.
- Stripe — card payments.
- An email delivery provider — the sign-in code and account emails.
- The channels you connect — Telegram, Meta (Messenger) and Rakuten Viber carry the messages under their own terms.
Your customers' data
For your customers' messages, you are the business responsible and we process them on your behalf. You can export your contacts and conversations at any time from the dashboard. A customer who asks for a person is always handed to your staff. If a customer asks you to delete their data, tell us and we will delete it from our side within 30 days.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you close it, or ask us to, we delete your account, knowledge, conversations and contacts within 30 days, except payment records we are required to keep for accounting, and backups, which are overwritten on their normal cycle.
Security
- Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS) between you, your customers, the channels and us.
- There are no passwords to steal: signing in uses a one-time code sent to your email.
- Access to production systems is limited to the people who run the service, and logged.
- Your business's data is kept apart from every other business's.
Your choices
- See and change your details in the dashboard.
- Export your knowledge, contacts and conversations at any time.
- Close your account and have everything deleted.
- Ask us anything about this page by messaging us on the channels in the footer.
Changes to this page
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will say so in the dashboard before the change takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page.
